We met in high school around 2001 through mutual friends.

Strangely enough, we became best friends over the years, comforting each other in times of need and bonding over video games, the outdoors, movies, etc. We discovered we had a lot of life experiences in common, and shared many of the same thoughts on the important things in life.
Angel was on my mind all the time, not just because she was beautiful, but because I loved her company, positive outlook, and talking to her all day. I finally built up enough courage to let her know how I felt in 2005. Best decision I ever made.
Right under my nose, he was exactly what I'd been looking for - funny, honest, caring, intelligent, real - and so easy to be around. My only regret is that I didn't realize it sooner.
I knew early on that I had found the one, and after Angel motivated me to land my current job, I was able to seal the deal. With the help of my awesome cousin Nick, I chose the diamond, designed the setting, and bought her custom made ring. As we were leaving for work on Valentine's day 2013, I made believe I had to tie my shoe, got down on one knee, and proposed.
I'd been excitedly waiting for the day to come for years, and I was a bit worried that I wouldn't actually be surprised when it happened since we'd been together for so long. I couldn't have been more wrong. The timing, the location, the words, the day, the ring, the man - everything was perfect, and I will always cherish the moment.
10 years and countless adventures later, we're still very much in love and looking forward to a long, laughter-filled life together as husband and wife.
