Maid of Honor
Cara is my soon-to-be sister-in-law, and I could not have asked for a better one. From day one she made me feel like part of the family, and we've spent so many holidays and celebrated so many events together that it feels like she's already been my sister forever. I truly consider myself lucky to have someone so caring, funny, and sweet as my new official little sis.
Best Man
Greg and I have been friends since Kindergarten - 36 years! From drinking Ecto Cooler after acro class as kids, to playing video games and watching movies in his livingroom in highschool, to driving underage without a license to a New Year's Eve party with an open trunk filled with liquor, Greg has been a staple in my life. I consider him family, like a brother.
Bridesmaids & Groomsmen
All 4 of my bridesmaids - Emily, Silvia, Kristen, and Sabrina - have been in my life for over 10 years at this point. Emily's been my best friend for nearly half my life and knew me before I met Derek. No matter how far apart we live, or how much time it's been, we always pick right back up where we left off. Silvia is one of the kindest, down-to-earth, real people I know, and even though she was a friend of Derek's first, she was always super nice to me and actively included me in the group, which I will be forever grateful for. Kristen has an energy and spirit that I admire, was a witness at the very start of our relationship, and was one of the biggest "cheerleaders" of our engagement. Sabrina has a big heart, is one of my favorite deep-convo buddies and was also around at our beginnings.
I've been friends with Spencer and Jason since I started working with them almost 5 years ago. By random chance, Spencer and I happened to be Goons long before we worked together... destiny?! Jason has sat right in front of me my entire time at Nylon - I couldn't ask to sit by a nicer person who makes gross inappropriate jokes that truly resonate with me. Cara's boyfriend, Ryan, is a video game night god, and made me respect kids with yoyos and red baseball caps. I look up to Leo as my future brother-in-law who is awesome enough to work at Google. I'm glad he taught Angel the way of video games, Star Wars, and all things geeky. I'm beyond lucky to have each of them as my groomsmen!
